The Second Annual Party with Moms Golf Tournament teed off at the Griffith E Harris Golf Course.
"It's so nice to have Party with Moms out here. Remy Cook, I've known him since he was a little junior golfer and he always had his heart and soul into it. He's worked very hard on this," said The Griff's PGA Professional Joe Felder.
Party with Moms was started by Remy Cook after attending an event years ago.
"I went to a fundraiser with my mom a few years ago at a nursery school, and there were lots of moms there. I thought it would be funny to make a t-shirt that said 'Party with Moms' in hot pink. People really liked it," said Cook.
The idea has taken off and is now a website with blogs and merchandise.
"I've known Remy for a long time. I was around when he came up with the idea to put 'Party with Moms' on a t-shirt, which was a little interesting and odd at the time. But, it has grown into a pretty respectable company. The donation to the Cancer Alliance is nice, and I'm glad to support," said Craig D'Andrea, a Greenwich resident and friend of Cook.
50 participants raised over $1,000 for the Breast Cancer Alliance
"Breast cancer is very close with many women and men, many moms specifically. It's great to find a well run, nice organization that is close to many hearts," said Cook.
"Especially in this town, it's a very family-oriented community. Moms play a big role and I think many times they are undervalued and I think it's important to have an organization that puts them in the forefront," said John David Pinto, a Greenwich resident.
