Greenwich High School Varsity Cheerleading seniors traded in their uniforms for the latest fashion trends during the teams annual Holiday Boutique and Fashion Show on Sunday.
Senior and Greenwich High School Varsity Cheerleading Captain Amanda Rosabella said, "It's exciting because now it's us as seniors, after 4 years it's our turn to walk down the runway and have all eyes on us."
Before kicking up their heels, the models got some advice from Miss Connecticut.
Miss Connecticut 2013 Kaitlyn Tarpey said, "I was in a fashion show last week and the one piece of advice I did give to them is "trust your feet." Your feet know how to walk. You've been walking for quite some time so just keep your head up, trust your feet and you'll be fine."
The seniors hit the catwalk in several outfits and were joined by their moms, football players and even some models in the making.
Senior and Greenwich High School Varsity Cheerleading Captain Ashley Grudzinski said, "This is my fourth year actually being here and seeing all the seniors last year and the year before walking down, it's so exciting to see all the clothes they get to wear and now it's our turn."
The event also included a holiday boutique and silent auction, raising funds for team expenses.
Senior and Greewich High School Varsity Cheerleading Captain Taylor Ingraham said, "We need the money for choreographers, for tumbling, for instructors to help us with stunting and for a lot of our things that we do throughout the year to get us ready and build up for competition season."
Rosabella added, "It's a fun time for all of us to come together and bond and show everyone what we're about and what we do."
