The event included a 1/2 Mile Children's Run before the start of the 5K Walk/Run event.

Senator Richard Blumenthal was on hand to issue words of encouragement to the participants.
Cancer survivors praised organization for the services they provide for anyone affected by the disease.

To date, the 2013 Greenwich Walk/Run for Hope has raised over 26 thousand dollars. For more information about CancerCare visit cancercare.org
