Ben Branyan to replace retiring John Crary on June 1

First Selectman Peter Tesei has just announced the appointment of Ben Brayan as Town Administrator. 

"His experience with the Town through his current position as Managing Director of Operations for Greenwich Public Schools adds value to our Town Administration, as he understands our operations and will be an important bridge between the two organizations," said Tesei. 

"It's bittersweet because I enjoy my work at the Board of Ed, but I'm looking forward to the opportunity," said Brayan. 

Branyan was the Chief Operating Officer for the Stratford Public Schools before his move to Greenwich. as Town Administrator, he will serve under the direction and supervision of the First Selectman. 

"It's an interval part of weaving a thread through all the various appointing authorities that are responsible for managing services of aspects Town government," said Tesei. 

He will be replacing John Crary who announced his retirement earlier this year. 

"It's a great community, it's a well respected community, it's a well run community," said Branyan. 

Branyan will begin as Town Administrator on June 1.
