Almost 200 people have gathered to go head to head in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich.

"It's a good feeling going on. A lot of energy, incredibly competitive, but everyone knows why hey are here- to support the members of our club," said CEO Bobby Walker Jr.

The funds raised during this event directly benefit the Club's programs.

"it really supports our after school program. From homework help, to arts and crafts, to our computer program, all those things that helps them become better kids," said Walker Jr.

The event started off with a basketball clinic hosted by Phaethon Bolton. He played division one hoops at Wake Forest and is a Boys and Girls Club alum.

"This is where I learned t play basketball organized for the first time. I joined my first league team here. The Club has been very instrumental in everything that I've done," said Bolton.

Bolton says his time at the club has prepared him for more than just basketball.

"The Club invests in their kids and gives them the resources they need," said Bolton.

The winners of the 3 on 3 tournament will receive the championship title and trophy.
