Welcome to this edition of Greenwich Sports Wrap Up. The boys ice hockey team continued their win streak in their home opener against New Canaan.

Montana Larson scored first for the Cardinals 6 minutes into the first period, But the Rams answer on a power play to tie it up at one.

The Cardinals play tough defense. Oliver Fulton fights for the puck then sends it down ice. Colin Kelly gets the go ahead goal in the second period, Cardinals up 2-1. Greenwich goalie Bryan Archino saves this shot, but can't save the next shot to tie things up at 2… and we head to overtime.

Brian Sliard saves the day for Greenwich. Cardinals win 3-2 in overtime.

The girls basketball team got another win, defeating Fairfield Ludlowe 61-48. Junior Abbie Wolf scored 23 for the Cardinals as UConn coach Geno Ariemma watched in the stands.

We will have more hockey and basketball on the next Greenwich Sports Wrap Up.
