The Greenwich boys swimming and diving team are still riding high from impressive national accomplishments last season. The boys finished 10th in the country in the 200 medley relay, 4th in the 400 freestyle relay, and 12th in the US in the 200 free relay.

They took that momentum to Norwalk where the Cardinals took on Brien McMahon and Norwalk High.

The Cardinals get the diving points with two diving performances. Justin Sodok off placed first with 242 points.

Soon after, Norwalk races through the 500 yard freestyle, out lapping the competition and finishing with a time of 4:53.99.

But Greenwich comes back and takes three of the four final events, the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, the 100 breast stroke with an impressive time of 1:08.77 by Ryan Lynch.

Cardinals get their second straight win of the season, beating Norwalk 109 to 71.

Now we go over to Greenwich High for an FCAIC basketball matchup against Fairfield Ludlowe.

Greenwich started the game hot. Conor Harkins sinks a three right off the bat and the Cardinals keep the lead throughout the first quarter up 14-10.

But after that, Ludlowe rebounded, inbounded, and defended the ball better than the Cardinals.

Ludlowe's Hayes Kelchner had four offensive rebounds on the night.

Later in the second quarter Matt Doyle grabs a rebound and tosses it to Thomas Duffy for two. First half ends with Ludlowe up 30-23.

The Cardinals play sloppy ball in the third while the Falcons have it all working for them.  Clean inbound play translates into two points for Doyle, and the Falcons are up 42-38 after 3.

In the fourth quarter, Ludlowe opens with a 9 0 run. Doyle steals from Greenwich, passes it up to Duffy, and 1, Falcons up 51-38.

Greenwich closes the gap here with a full court press and good defense by Harkins. But Lulowe holds onto the lead, beating Greenwich 58-49.

We'll have some boys hockey on the next Greenwich Sports Wrap Up.
