"Today we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Remember them and vow to never, ever forget who they are," said Daniel Caporale, Chairman of the Norwalk Veterans Memorial Committee.

The Norwalk Veterans Memorial Committee (NVMC) held the Annual Ceremony at the Shea-Magrath Memorial at Calf Pasture Beach Sunday afternoon where the Committee honors Medal of Honor recipients, Daniel Shea and John Magrath.

Retired Marine Lt. Col Thomas Armas served as the event's keynote speaker.

"As these two men look down today, they are smiling. They are smiling at what Norwalk has become, they are smiling at what America is," said Lt. Col Armas. "As you go forward these next couple of weeks and you celebrate veterans and celebrate service and the fallen, look up to the heavens and say 'thank you' and then live. Live. Make your communities better for you having been there."
