One small card can make a big difference.
"It's the things that we do and the way that we make people feel that really matters," said Orly Wahba.
Sunday morning, the YMCA of Greenwich and Hebrew Wizards kicked off their "Kindness Crusade",with TED speaker Orly Wahba to engage the community and inspire acts of kindness.
“Kindness Crusade is exactly the type of thing we need to spread this message throughout our communities.” Said Rabbi Deborah Salomon, Founder/Director of Hebrew Wizards, “Kindness is infectious, even when it’s as simple as holding the door for somebody or giving a friend a hug. These small acts accumulate and have the power to generate a culture of kindness between loved ones and strangers alike”
In 2011, Wahba founded Life Vest Inside with one goal in mind - encourage the spreading of happiness through small acts of kindness. With her Act of Kindness Cards (AOK), that goal became a reality.
Each AOK card has a different act of kindness prompting the person to perform the act and pass the card to someone else.
"It's there to serve as a reminder that each and every person has the ability to create ripples of kindness," said Wahba.
