"We have a book recycling program at our recycling center at 130 Magee Avenue," said Dan Colleluori of Stamford Solid Waste and Recycling.

"We set up a shed with book shelves and books, and we ask residents to drop off a book and pick up a book."

"We would like to start another program like that for other wastes that we could.  Because one man's garbage is another man's gold, you would be dumbfounded by the thinks people throw out."
