It’s the big weekend for Music Theatre of Connecticut’s School of Performing Art.  Students will take the stage at the Westport Country Playhouse to perform the  age old favorite: "Guys and Dolls".

“I definitely get nervous," said Maiya Urquhart, one of the lead actresses. “I am playing Sara Brown and she is the leader of the mission band.”

Religious and conservative.  She’s at the center of a bet in this 1950’s drama; all thanks to one person.

“I’m playing Nathan Detroit," said Hudson Berk.

He’s an avid gambler in New York City, in need of one thousand dollars to rent a place for a crap game.  The solution? Nathan decides to bet against the gambler, Sky Masterson.  He challenges him to have dinner in Havana with the most religious one of all: Ms. Sara Brown.

It’s a Tony Award winning musical, revived several times on Broadway and in London.  But before you think you know it all, rumor has it: This weekend has a few twists to keep you on your toes.

“There’s maybe a few little ones you’ll have to watch and see," said Urquhart.

You can catch "Guys and Dolls" Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets start at 25 dollars for adults and 20 dollars for students.
