As Spring is finally arriving, what better sport to enjoy than rowing?
"It's just a great way to start the water season and rowing is always associated with the spring racing, right now the college spring racing and junior spring racing is in full swing," said Dmitri Vlasov, Rowing Coach at Greenwich Tod's Point. "This is just a great way to come out and spectate, learn about the sport, pick up a brochure, and try to learn to row, maybe the sport is for you!"
Rowers of all levels are invited to practice at Greenwich Point Park throughout the water season. And if you feel like competing this spring, the Alumni Sprints Regatta is coming to Old Greenwich for its second year.
"Alumni Sprints is a new concept in the rowing world in which you compete representing your alma mater," said Vlasov. "It happens on the beautiful stretch of water called Greenwich Cove."
Rowers will head to the races on April 27th. To register for the event or to find out more information about the regatta visit www.alumnisprints.org.
