A snow emergency is set to go into effect Tuesday evening. The wintery mix of high winds, high snow accumulation, and low temperatures have officials advising individuals to remain inside.

The forecast has caused several cancellations in town and schools are operating on an early dismissal schedule.

Once the snow emergency goes into effect, people will be forbidden from parking in designated zones to allow for plows and emergency vehicles to have easy access. The designated areas are clearly marked.
